In New York everyone is dressed to the nines and the men and women look like models on a runway.
In Los Angeles everyone has their own individual style; everyone is diverse.
In San Francisco everyone dresses pretty clean cut, I guess. The black people are definitely different; some still wearing baggy pants, some still wearing Timberland boots. And then the Asians are just wearing whatever, I guess. I don’t know; my Asian friends dress pretty nice, so I was a little shocked.
We were walking to the Muni and I was wearing burgundy skinny jeans, brown boots, a scarf, a cream sweater and a khaki jacket. Jenean was wearing an olive green jacket, blue skinny jeans, a pink v-neck, and black flats, and my sister was wearing a navy blue jacket, black jeans and Toms. When we walked past a bus station, there was this girl and guy who were getting on and they were staring right at me and giggling. I looked down at myself to make sure I didn’t have any food stains on my clothes (I didn’t) and they were still giggling. The urge to yell, “TALK SHIT AND GET HIT, BITCH (thanks, Lorena),” was strong. I didn’t want to come off as ghetto though…
Anyway, I chalked it up to being that San Francisco isn’t used to my amazing style. I’m moving here in a few months and I can’t wait to see what reactions I’ll get when I start wearing “Cosby sweaters” and colored tights. OR WHEN THE TUTU COMES OUT. I wear a lot of different things, so I have no idea how people will react to what I wear. Not that it matters because I learned a long time ago not to dress for anyone besides myself.
On the flip side, I absolutely love the city. Downtown San Francisco is gorgeous and it reminds me of New York so much. Its the closest I’m going to get in the next four years, too. But I’m happy here (besides the stares). Its super cold, but I’ll learn to deal. There are so many attractive guys here (thank the Lord).
I’m happy with my classes, too! I HAVE A JOURNALISM CLASS, I AM SO EXCITED. I have 5 classes, and the schedule is pretty good. My earliest class starts at 9:35 am, so I’m okay.
All in all, San Francisco is pretty great and I can’t wait to actually live here.

Surprisingly, a lot of people compliment my personality and I always want to laugh, because I’m like “really? my friends say I’m blunt and rude.”
But I guess we need that from time to time, right?
im in no position to have high standards but it doesn’t stop me
